Benefuel Biodiesel: Fuel For The Benefit of Community Needs

Benefuel has established a not-for-profit fund pledging a percentage of profits on future biodiesel sales. The fund will be administered and allocated under Guidelines established by the Board of Directors of the Benefuel Foundation.

Vision

The Benefuel advanced biodiesel production technology has given us the opportunity to make our vision possible. We see a future where no community in the world will be without a source of energy, no mater how rural, remote or disadvantaged it may be.

Mission

Biodiesel can power diesel generators to produce electricity, as well as being an efficient and carbon neutral transportation fuel.

Benefuel’s mission is to team with NGOs and Governments to bring locally produced biodiesel to communities around the world that are in need of power for:

  • the distribution of clean water
  • the operation of hospitals and schools
  • local transportation needs
  • heat and light for those without means to have these
  • commercial enterprises that benefit the community

How Does the Benefuel Foundation Achieve Our Objectives

Collaboration
Working with qualified third parties including other commercial, governmental and non-governmental organizations the Benefuel Foundation will co-develop the infrastructure to utilize locally produced high yield crops to provide the feedstock to make fuel in a Benefuel micro-refinery. The electrical power and transportation fuel must be made available for the benefit of the greater community.

Research
Research discoveries are already positively impacting on biodiesel feedstock production - including the successful deployment of Jatropha and Algae feedstock supplies both of which grow rapidly, even in arid land. Salt mallow seed oil is also suitable for biodiesel production and can be grown in sea water – a solution for island and coastal communities.

We are also seeking partnerships with Academic Institutions willing to work with the Benefuel Foundation to broaden the range of economically produced local feedstocks. Our goal is to ensure that the installation of a Benefuel biodiesel micro-refinery is locally sustainable wherever one is deployed.

Deployment
Commencing with those areas most in need, Benefuel will work with local partners to establish a turn-key biodiesel energy ecosystem. This starts with securing sustainable supplies of feedstock, followed by the installation of a turn-key micro-refinery, The Benefuel Foundation’s involvement continues with support through remote monitoring technology to assist with the quality control of each refinery.

Training
Once operational there is also an on-going need for the Benefuel Foundation and its partners to fund the training of local technicians to run the micro-refinery.

Public Education
The Benefuel Foundation will work with agencies to promote a greater understanding of the benefits of locally produced and distributed fuel including: increased security of energy supply;

  • increased security of energy supply
  • a significant reduction in the carbon footprint through efficient production and distribution systems
  • the creation of local jobs
  • the reduction of hydro-carbon emissions
